How to deal with your emotions
Hey everyone, we have a new WeStand update format—short, action-oriented, and every word is intentional.
WeStand Wrap-Up
You’re in the zone, getting work done, then boom. You’re frustrated. Or nervous. Or overwhelmed. But you push through and pretend like nothing happened.
You’re sabotaging your own success. According to happiness research, it only takes 90 seconds to feel an emotion before it shifts. One root cause of founder burnout is pushing away emotions instead of feeling them. Many founders accumulate a mountain of emotions that builds to harm their health, focus, and productivity.
Hack: If you need to keep moving, set aside tough emotions for later. Take 90 seconds at the end of the day to sit with your eyes closed and feel what’s there with your full attention. Ignoring them only makes things worse. You’ll be surprised how much better you feel the next day.
Event: This online event is for my fellow female founders—check out ”Breaking Barriers: Female Founders and The Emotional Side of Venture Investing.” Get free tickets using WeStand24!
